KYLATT wins the gold medal at the Berlin Global Olive Oil Awards

The Special Selection extra virgin olive oil from Molí d’Alcanó (of the Fruits de Ponent Group), KYLATT, was awarded the gold medal at the Berlin Global Olive Oil Awards (Berlin GOOA) for its quality. An international competition in which oils from all around the world participate and whose jury is formed by expert gastronomists and tasters with the aim of raising awareness and augmenting the brand recognition of extra virgin olive oils.

This prize recognises Molí d’Alcanó’s pursuit of excellence and joins the two international awards received in the last two years: the Gourmet Gold medal from the Association for the Valorisation of Agricultural Products (AVPA) 2020 and the bronze medal at the London International Olive Oil Competitions 2021.

It represents an oil made from arbequina olives from the fields of Alcanó, specially selected and chosen from among the best tastes, through a meticulous procedure designed to preserve the different organoleptic virtues. Molí d’Alcanó, located in this town of El Segrià and a member of the Fruits de Ponent Cooperative Group, is connected to a network of affiliated producers and forms part of Protected Designation of Origin Les Garrigues.
