L’Or de Ponent opts for jugs made from 100% recycled plastic

The packages are available in 2 and 5 l sizes

The extra virgin olive oil L’Or de Ponent is already available in 2 and 5 l jugs made from 100% recycled plastic. In this way, the mill of Alcanó, of the Fruits de Ponent Group, has taken another step forward in its push for sustainability and zero waste.

Last year, the European Parliament gave the green light to the ban on single-use plastics. This law, which comes into force in 2021, affects all plastic silverware, dishes, cotton swabs, pallets and food and drink packages. It also rules that by 2025, all plastic packages will have to contain at least 25% recycled materials.

Given this context, the mill of Alcanó has decided, this year, to offer its customers its first 100% recycled packages.
