Extra virgin olive oil L’Or de Ponent adds a new seal of quality, that of Integrated Production (IP), a quality food production system using methods that are respectful of human health and the environment. Integrated production responds to the demands of quality and food safety demanded by responsible consumers.

With this certification, L’Or de Ponent, from the Les Garrigues Protected Designation of Origin, adds more quality, safety and excellence. IP minimizes the use of agrochemicals and fertilizers in food production.

IP certified products:

  • They apply processes that favor the diversity of the agricultural ecosystem, as they respect the native flora and fauna, and promote the conservative activity of the rural environment and the landscape.
  • They produce according to techniques that take into account modern technical and scientific knowledge.
  • They adapt agricultural companies to the form of intensive production to ensure their economic viability.

Producers, processors and packers of food based on sustainable agriculture are required to comply with all the conditions set out in the technical production standards established for each crop, such as the obligation to carry an exploitation booklet and, where applicable, a post-harvest notebook, which collects the notes of all the interventions made on the crop and the products. This controls the history of food, from the field to the point of sale (traceability).

L’Or de Ponent, produced and elaborated in the Molí d’Alcanó, of the Fruits de Ponent Group, can be found in different formats: 5L, 2L, 500 ml, and 250 ml, in addition to the PREMIUM formats.
