Fruits de Ponent Cooperative Group raises two thousand euros to fight breast cancer

Fruits de Ponent Cooperative Group raises two thousand euros to fight breast cancer through the sale of a charity oil from Molí d’Alcanó over the last 12 months.

Last December -just about a year ago- Molí d’Alcanó, of the Fruits de Ponent Cooperative Group, launched a charity initiative in collaboration with the Association Against Cancer in Lleida to raise funds for the fight against breast cancer.

During these months and at various locations in the city of Lleida and also through the website of Or de Ponent (www.ordeponent.com), Molí d’Alcanó has sold this 500 ml charity oil bottle, for which a special label was designed, coloured pink to symbolise the fight against this type of disease. One euro from each unit sold has been allocated to the organisation for this cause.

Today, the President of Fruits de Ponent Cooperative Group, Benjamí Ibars, and the Managing Director of Fruits de Ponent, Josep Presseguer, have presented the two thousand euros raised to the Association Against Cancer in Lleida.

The president of this organisation, Sisco Maranges, has thanked the solidarity of Fruits de Ponent Cooperative Group once again, affirming that “initiatives like this one raise awareness for the fight against cancer and are a reason for hope and the desire to continue”.

Fruits de Ponent Cooperative Group views the initiative very positively and praises the enormous solidarity shown by society toward this type of action.
